This is provided for by the relevant amendments to the Land Code, which the parliament adopted in the second reading by the votes of 80 deputies in order to stimulate the production of electricity from alternative sources. In particular, the bill provides for the placement of solar photovoltaic systems on agricultural land without the need to change their assignment to building land. Chairman of the Commission on Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea noted that the bill would also remove the ban on the withdrawal of high-quality agricultural land from agricultural circulation for the needs of building wind turbines. According to the document, photovoltaic systems will be allowed to be fixed to the ground using metal structures, and not using reinforced concrete or other materials that can adversely affect soil fertility. It also provides for measures to preserve and improve soil fertility. In addition, conditions are included for the design, installation and placement of solar photovoltaic systems and wind farms. The benefits of the amendments are to cover the shortage of electricity generated by local sources, create local jobs, increase local budget revenues from both local taxes paid and the state budget from VAT collected.
