Horus Energy has modernized three pumping stations in mun. Chisinau:
  • SP-4, Chisinau, 24 Decebal blvd;
  • SP-6, Chisinau, 1/8 Studentilor str;
  • SP-22, Chisinau, 10 Valea Crucii str.
Pumping stations are designed to maintain a given pressure in pipelines, in supply and return (from consumers), as well as to protect the main heating networks.
 

Modernization of the pumping station SP-6


Modernization goals:

• Modernization of the basic equipment in accordance with the current load with the prospect of development for the next 5 years, which will reduce the capacity of the installed pumps from 250 kW to 160 kW, reduce the diameter of the hydraulic control and shut-off equipment, and also reduce the capacity of power transformers from 1000 kVA to 315 kVA and own service transformer from 63 kVA to 50 kVA.
• Reduced maintenance costs, full automation of the technological process, reduced hydraulic losses and power consumption.
 
 
Construction works:
• Dismantling of old technological equipment;
• Excavation;
• Filling of industrial floors;
• Waterproofing (inside and outside) of the building;
• Installation of the roof;
• Arrangement of the adjacent territory.
 
Thermal and mechanical works:
• Installation of new KSB pumps and commissioning;
• Installation of the existing pump 250LNN600 and commissioning;
• Installation of new pipelines, valves, sectional and control valves;
• Installation of AUMA actuators, non-reversible and triple-eccentric valves;
• Connecting new pipes to existing ones.
Result: Reduced operating and maintenance costs.
 
Power equipment.
 
The electrical equipment has been replaced with new equipment that has reduced maintenance, a high level of automation and signaling, and modern energy efficiency parameters.
 
New medium voltage electrical equipment was built on the basis of Siemens switchgear, and low voltage equipment on Siemens and ABB switchgear.
 
 
Basic equipment contains:
1. Equipment DS-6 kV of 2 sections with the following main technical parameters: Un = 12 kV; In = 630 A; Isc = 25 kA / 2s; Cell type: LSC2A; LSC2B.
2. Power transformers (made in Italy) with the main parameters Sn = 315 kVA, Uin = 6 kV, Ujn = 0.4 kV and a Dyn-11 connection group.
3. Own service transformers with basic parameters Sn = 50 kVA, Uin = 6 kV, Ujn = 0.4 kV and connection group Dyn-11.
Installed new power wiring and control panels.
 
Automation of technological processes.
 
An automated process control system based on Siemens equipment was introduced.
 
Result:
• SP-6 operates in automatic mode without an operator, has a central control system (PLC), which communicates with the 6 kV Distribution System using the IEC 61850 GOOSE protocol, which monitors the pump load and provides reserves of the technological process in automatic mode, providing a record of all events and alarms received as a result of technological process maneuvers;
• The automated system also allows you to switch to manual control of the units in exceptional situations and during routine maintenance.
Important: the design, assembly and commissioning of the equipment cabinets were carried out by Horus Energy.
