The modernization includes the reconstruction of the existing cogeneration unit, which will increase the overall efficiency of the cogeneration plant, fuel consumption efficiency, increase electricity generation by about 63 million kWh per year and extend the operation of the turbine by about 8 years.

More than 80 specialists in the field of construction of steam turbines, steam boilers and automation with the support of hundreds of workers of the enterprise are involved in the modernization of the facility.

According to the General Director of Termoelectrica, Vyacheslav Yeni, the implementation of this project will contribute to the production and provision of reliable services to consumers with a high degree of energy efficiency.

“The new equipment will allow us to safely and more efficiently operate the heat energy system, which will inevitably lead to significant energy savings, and will also contribute to strengthening the state’s energy security,” Vyacheslav Yeni said at a working meeting.
